As a chocolate and waffle lover, I knew I had to visit Belgium one day and indulge myself on some of my favorite goodies – alas, it finally happened! The best time to visit Belgium is definitely September/October when the temperature has cooled down, and it’s sweater weather. I visited Brussels for two days so here’s everything you have to see and eat packed up in two days.
Traveler Tip: The best way to get around Brussels is to walk, I was hitting 13,000+ steps a day!
Where to Eat:
WAFFLES:
– Maison Dandoy: One of the most well-known Belgium waffle places, I was a fan of the chocolate sauce here, but I didn’t love the cooked strawberries.

– Los Churros & Waffle: MY FAVORITE PLACE – the Nutella and banana combo was to die for.

– Pascalino Food Truck: Known for its buttery liege waffles.
FRIES:
– Georgettes: Holy crap! The fries were to die for here, you have to get the mayo/ketchup mixed sauce, it’s the absolute best.

– Fit Flagey: More of a basic spot but super popular in the city!
– Maison Antoine: Big portions of fries, all crispy on the outside and soft on the inside – the line is usually super long here.
RESTAURANTS:
– Bohemia: Super cute American-fusion restaurant with boho-chic decor, the red pesto cheese balls were my favorite thing on the menu.

– Nuba: Asian-fusion cuisine and hookah lounge – the outdoor vibes were super nice here.
– Nona: A famous pizza spot in Belgium with Neapolitan pizza.
What to See:
– Grand Place: The main square in the middle of Brussels that has the most magical architecture, the ideal Instagram spot.

– Atomium: An atom-looking building and museum where you can go inside and explore the hidden stairs, escalators, and restaurant with a gorgeous view.

– Mini-Europe: A miniature park that has replicas of monuments of all the famous places in Europe like Paris, London, Berlin etc. There’s 80 cities and 350 buildings represented.
– Manneken Pis: The infamous peeing mannequin – there are so many funny stories behind this statue, but I think my favorite think about it is the costumes it gets dressed up in every day.

– Church of Lady Bruges: A beautiful medieval church tower.
– Royal Palace of Brussels: Another royal palace that’s well-known in Brussels.
Things to Do:
– Hungry Mary Famous Beer & Chocolate Tour: You HAVE to do this tour that takes you to the best chocolate shops in Belgium for tastings and lets you taste delicious beer (and I hate beer!)

– Delirium: You can enjoy more than 3000+ beers from all around the world here!
– Chocolate Making Class: Learn the basics of chocolate and cook some delicious pieces.
– Chocolate Tasting Tour: Literally ate our weight in chocolate, it was SO good – we even had the “Chanel” of chocolate.
