Milan, Italy

Ciao! Of Italy’s many cities, Milan is one of the most well known thanks to its role as the global capital of fashion and culture. The best part? You can easily cover the city in two days if you’re up for excessively eating your way through carb central and walking it all off as you explore some of the prettiest tourist spots in the entire world.

My recommendation on where to stay – Navigli. It’s the infamous street with gorgeous canals filled with a younger hip crowd and poppin’ nightlife that’s super accessible to everything. The Airbnbs in the area are beautiful, we had one at the top of the strip with a hot tub. You can’t go wrong! Here’s everything you’ve gotta eat, see, and experience in Milan in just a couple days:

Where to Go:

Pizza Del Duomo: The iconic white cathedral that’s so gorgeous that you won’t be able to take your eyes off of it. It’s one of the largest churches in the world and you HAVE to visit it once during the day to get all your photos and then once at night to experience the sparkles and lights.

Galleria Vittorio: A short walk from the Duomo and you’ll find yourself in one of the world’s oldest shopping malls with all the high-end fashion. It’s the most Milan thing I’ve ever seen.

Navigli District: The gorgeous canal street filled with some of the best restaurants and dessert shops. Highly recommend just walking around and eating here, definitely watch the sun set here because it’s breathtaking.

Da Vinci’s Vineyard: A nice little historical spot to learn about Da Vinci and the wine he’s grown in his vineyard. We did a self tour and bought tickets to the winery and just walked around and took some photos, I wish we got to taste his wine!

The Last Supper: Unfortunately we didn’t get tickets in time for this but if you are able to plan accordingly, it’s a must-see. You’ll get to see the original mural and take a tour through the church.

Bosco Verticale: Twin apartment towers that are vertical hanging gardens as well as residential buildings. It’s a super cool concept and just looks awesome to look at IRL with it’s lush greenery and architecture.

Where to Eat:

Terreza Aperol: A gorgeous rooftop bar facing the Duomo, definitely visit this bar during sunset so you can watch the lights turn on for the Duomo and see the nighttime view while drinking some wine.

Panini De Santis: Best. Panini. Ever. One of my favorite food spots during this whole trip. I got the pesto sun-dried tomato panini and it was mouthwatering.

Cioccolatitaliani: Infamous gelato spot with so many different flavors – you have to get the chocolate shot with your gelato.

Pizzeria Spontini: The thiccest pizza I’ve ever eaten, incredible.

Luini: The home of the panzerotti – fried dough inverted pizzas stuffed with tomato, mozzarella, spinach etc.

A’vucciria: Arancini balls stuffed with mushroom, saffron, and cheese.

Chocolat Milano: My favorite gelato place, the Nutella flavor was to die for.

10 Corso Coma: The cutest little restaurant with some of the best in-house made balsamic I’ve ever had.

Unfortunately since we were only there for two days we didn’t get to experience the nightlife too much but check out Apollo nightclub, we had a blast there.
